Financial Accountant – SPV & Securitisations

The Role

The successful candidate will join a growing team and will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of a portfolio of Luxembourg-domiciled corporate clients and special purpose vehicles (SPVs), including securitisation structures established to participate in capital market transactions.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate can expect to be involved in and take responsibility for the following tasks:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of corporate entities;
Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts as required by clients;
Preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., Lux GAAP, IFRS);
Assist in the coordination of year-end audits;
Payments and cash flow management;
Prepare and submit VAT returns and corporate tax declarations.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports (e.g., CSSF, BCL, ECDF);
Liaise with clients, investment managers, external auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel and other stakeholders;
Participate in client, board, and shareholder meetings;
Support the team in improving processes and implementing best practices; and
Support the business in responding to client needs on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–5+ years of relevant experience in fund or SPV accounting, ideally within the Luxembourg financial services sector
Strong knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP and familiarity with IFRS;
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) or commitment to pursue one;
Proficiency in English, knowledge of French or German is an advantage;
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel; experience with fund accounting system, e-Front is beneficial;
Ensure that ethical standards and human rights principles are upheld across all areas of responsibility.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities;
Proactive and able to work independently as well as collaboratively;
Clear communicator with a professional and client-focused approach; and
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
