Head of Operations & Technology

The Role
Cafico International is seeking a Head of Operations and Technology to take the lead in daily operational excellence, champion continuous improvement and ensure our systems, processes and technology run seamlessly across the business. This pivotal role is at the heart of our mission, empowering business efficiency, fostering strong regulatory alignment and driving collaboration between all business units.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have responsibility for:

Operational Oversight
  • Oversee daily operational activities and manage team workload.
  • Act as first‑line support for system queries (Business Central, Solver, OneSource, eFront).
  • Escalate and resolve IT‑related issues with internal teams and vendors.
  • Approve operational change requests and manage onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Manage operational and technology budgets and approve associated invoices.
 
Project & Change Management
  • Lead business‑wide change management initiatives.
  • Communicate changes to relevant teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure training and SOP updates accompany process or system changes.
  • Monitor regulatory change and integrate requirements into operations.
  • Embed new processes and conduct post‑implementation reviews.
 
AI Integration & Process Improvement
  • Identify and deliver AI‑driven automation and efficiency opportunities.
  • Assess workflows to introduce machine learning, intelligent tooling and improved controls.
  • Lead AI‑related change programmes aligned with governance and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with department leads to pilot and scale AI solutions.
  • Monitor performance of deployed AI tools and drive continuous optimisation.
 
Systems Management & Governance
  • Deploy and enhance internal systems, including managing UAT and vendor coordination.
  • Maintain governance for access, security roles and system ownership.
  • Oversee ICT risk, cybersecurity oversight, DR/BCP testing and incident management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
 
Asset and Vendor Management
  • Manage hardware, licences and equipment in partnership with the Managed Services Provider.
  • Oversee procurement and vendor relationships across IT.
  • Oversee the management of Power BI dashboards, reporting models, and delivery of key management insights.
  • Lead and support the team to ensure high performance and effective cross-department collaboration.
Requirements
  • Skilled in supporting and resolving business system issues and coordinating with vendors.
  • Expert in operational change management, onboarding/offboarding, budget oversight and business-wide initiatives.
  • Proficient in developing training materials and updating SOPs for process changes.
  • Experience integrating regulatory requirements, conducting post-implementation reviews and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Strong background in AI-driven automation, process improvements, machine learning and workflow controls.
  • Leadership in AI change programmes, governance and scaling solutions with department leads.
  • Expertise in internal system deployment, UAT and vendor management.
  • Knowledge of system access governance, ICT risk management, cybersecurity and business continuity.
  • Experience in asset management, procurement and vendor relationships.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI dashboard management, reporting and data analysis.
  • Proven project management, stakeholder engagement and organisational improvement skills
